Why do an engagement session?
Engagement sessions are often a couple’s first time to be photographed together, and are an ideal way to become more comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. The session also gives us a chance to work together before the big day, get to know each other, and helps you know what to expect.
Your engagement session can be as simple as a stroll through your favorite park, the place where you first met, or a romantic return to where he proposed – anything you can imagine to make the photos unique and personal to you.
Formal or informal, images from your engagement session are beautiful additions to your wedding photos.

I’ll check in the week of your engagement session to confirm the time & location we’re meeting and the weather. I know it takes a lot of time to get ready for your engagement session and it’s the worst to get dressed up and drive out to your session only to have it rain. Let me know what works best for the two of you- but if the weather looks like it won’t be great, we typically try to make the call at least 12 hours in advance. We will also reschedule in case of high winds and very overcast days.
The sooner the better! Our calendar tends to fill up pretty quickly – especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
We’ve put together an extensive engagement session guide that includes tips on everything from locations to selecting outfits. Once your session is booked, we’ll send it your way!
Unless you’ve modeled professionally, you’re probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. That’s what we’re here for! We give constant direction on where to look, how to smile, what to do with your hands.
As the session goes on and we coach you through images, we think you’ll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And then you’ll be a pro on the wedding day!
Within two weeks of your session, you’ll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases easy!

INVESTMENT DETAILS
Engagement sessions begin at $700 for the standard session with 2 outfits. Extended sessions with up to 4 outfits and multiple locations begin at $1000. Sessions can be booked separately or included in your wedding collection.
